Visakhapatnam: Calling wildlife conservation crucial for environmental balance and sustainability, Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Forests and Environment Pawan Kalyan on Thursday urged corporates and citizens to actively participate in protecting animals and supporting zoos.
Addressing officials during the inspection, Pawan Kalyan said zoos in India play a vital role in protecting endangered species and educating the public about wildlife conservation.
Tour of zoo facilitiesThe Deputy CM toured the zoo extensively, interacting with officials and staff to understand animal care practices and available facilities.
Pawan Kalyan personally released butterflies collected for the park and gently guided them onto plants when they fluttered onto his attire.
Visit to Kambalakonda Eco Park After the zoo inspection, the Deputy CM visited the Kambalakonda Eco Park, where he inaugurated an urban forest developed over 50 acres under the Forest Department.
