A solicitor for Hayley McCulloch pleaded not guilty to the charge of culpable and reckless conduct in her absence at Ayr Sheriff Court. The 36-year-old is alleged to have removed gas boxes, pulled at a gas pipe and tampered with a gas valve in Kier Hardie Hill, Cumnock. Court papers state this caused 'the gas supply to your neighbour to be disconnected to the danger of lieges' on January 5, 2026. When the case called on Wednesday, January 21, defence solicitor Robert Logan explained his client was not present, after she was not brought from HMP Greenock. The case was continued and she is due to appear in the dock at a later date.
