The chase, which took place December 4 last year, saw two men occupying the car placed under arrest after the officers rammed the vehicle, with the car coming to a halt off the road. The driver of the stolen Ford EcoSport, Bob Price, 23, of no fixed address, admitted charges of aggravated vehicle taking, dangerous driving, driving without a valid licence, and driving without insurance and was jailed for 30 weeks last month. Detective Chief Inspector Jennifer Bliss, of our Force Support Unit, said: “There’s a lot I suspect the public don’t know about our firearms officers, this includes their specialism in pursuits. Essex Police said the incident highlighted the professionalism and skill of its highly trained firearms officers, who made "hundreds of arrests" last year.
