The Chairman of the CPE Committee has been empowered to relax the hour limits on a case-by-case basis. Further, the Committee authorised the Chairman, CPEC to relax above restriction with regards to number of allowed CPE hours to a Committee on case-to-case basis. All other modalities and norms governing the conduct of CPE Programmes must be strictly adhered to in letter and spirit. Further, with regard to Minimum duration of a technical session in CPE programmes, the Council decided to approve as under:-1. The minimum duration of a technical session in CPE programmes may be reducedfrom 60 minutes to 30 minutes for ICAI Flagship events/International Conference/Panel Discussion/National Conference/Regional Conference only.
