'This is not ideal'- Popular café closes doors for second time due to flood works

The Waterside Café and Bistro, which is located on Kent Place, will be closed for 12 days as work takes place surrounding the café as part of the Kendal Flood Risk Management Scheme.
Co-owner Tomas Sanchez says despite knowing that the work was planned, he’s frustrated in having to close the doors of the business a second time since his family acquired it in April last year.
He said: “It’s something that we were expecting anyways when we bought the business.
“It’s a little bit hard especially when the business is just starting.”Despite the issues face surrounding the work, the Waterside Café has enjoyed a good start to life under the Sanchez family.
