Adam Burton travelled to Cumbria due to having no connection to the area, prosecutor Lee Dacre told South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court. Burton admitted two charges of stealing a combined £1,859 worth of high value items from Sainsbury's on August 28 last year. He was caught stealing other items to the value of £956.31 from the same store on September 4 as well as a further £250.92 worth of items from Marks and Spencer.
