Florida State football decided that it was time to add another coach to the defensive line this offseason. Florida State did add eight prospects on the defensive line in the 2026 class, so some of them are bound to work out in Tallahassee. However, Florida State is trying to make anything and everything work right now. That is not the standard at Florida State, which includes competing for championships. Luckily, the defensive line will have pieces that should have a chip on their shoulder, like Mandrell and Darryll Desir.
