Oxfordshire County Council has rolled out several ‘school streets’ which prohibits cars from driving through certain roads near the school. Four school streets (Windmill Primary School, Larkrise Primary School, St Ebbes Primary School, and St Nicholas C of E Primary School) were made permanent in 2022. Another five were made permanent in late 2025, including New Hinksey CE Primary School, St Mary and St John CE Primary School, Sandhills Community Primary School, Tyndale Community School and Manor Primary School, Didcot. These schools are Harriers Banbury Academy, Edith Moorhouse Primary School and St Joseph's Catholic Primary School in Carterton, and Willowcroft Community Primary School and St Birinus Boys School in Didcot.
