Tallink Grupp has continued its long-standing cooperation with the John Nurminen Foundation, reinforcing its commitment to protecting and restoring the Baltic Sea through a €20,000 donation generated from the sale of Tallink Silja Line branded chocolate bars.
The John Nurminen Foundation, a leading Finnish environmental organisation, focuses on reducing human-induced stress on the Baltic Sea.
Tallink Grupp CEO, Paavo Nõgene said: “Tallink Grupp connects the shores and people of the Baltic Sea, and for us this also means a natural obligation to maintain and improve the condition of our home sea.
Beyond its collaboration with the foundation, Tallink Grupp continues to invest in fuel efficiency and lower-emission technologies across its fleet as part of its broader sustainability strategy.
“With donations, we have been able to significantly reduce harmful chemical emissions into the Baltic Sea in Finland and restore key species in the Baltic Sea on the coast of southern Sweden.
