The recent spraying of black paint to obliterate the Welsh words on information signs in prominent locations in Tenby has already been condemned as ‘unacceptable’ by its mayor, Cllr Dai Morgan, on behalf of Tenby Town Council. It commented: “Recently, anti-Welsh scum are reported to have gone on a spate of vandalising Welsh language signage across Dinbych-y-Pysgod in Sir Benfro. “It is worth noting that the town already bares (sic) the imposed anglicised name of Tenby. “Not content with that, British nationalists have now upped the ante by attempting to cleanse the town of its Welsh signage.”Pembrokeshire County Council has also spoken out against the 'deliberate vandalism'. A spokesman for the authority said: “Pembrokeshire County Council is aware of the vandalism of a number of signs around Tenby.
