President Orsi visits China with Uruguay’s largest business delegation, signing key trade and innovation deals.
President Yamandu Orsi will visit China, Uruguay’s main economic partner, on February 1st, leading the largest-ever delegation of private businesses on a Uruguayan presidential trip abroad, Foreign Minister Mario Lubetkin announced.
In addition, social organizations will participate, with a strong presence from the Uruguayan trade union federation PIT-CNT, as well as a significant delegation from the Congress of Intendants.
While Cardona will join the official delegation, Oddone will stay behind and have Sub Secretary Martin Vallcorba stand in for him.
Orsi’s schedule includes a bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on February 3 in Beijing, as well as meetings with officials of the Communist Party of China.
