Santander is to shut 44 of its bank branches in a move putting 291 jobs at risk. The Mold branch on the high street will close its doors on Tuesday, April 28. Santander said closing branches will be replaced with 'community bankers', who will work from Santander branches or banking hubs to maintain a presence in communities in the area. It will also operate 19 counter-free branches, 36 reduced-hour locations, six work cafes, and 111 Santander Locals.
