ReportKARACHI : Emir Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman has said that Jamaat-e-Islami was not formed for personal interests or the pursuit of power, but for a greater purpose, emphasizing that the party itself is not the goal—rather, it seeks a complete transformation of the system. Hafiz Naeem stated that Jamaat-e-Islami is both a religious and political movement, and the message it conveys truly represents Islam. Struggling to change this unjust system, he said, is a religious obligation. Hafiz Naeem further remarked that a child is born as a master, while a person who works hard for 40 years becomes a slave, adding that the British-era bureaucratic system still dominates the country. He made it clear that Jamaat-e-Islami will move forward through peaceful political struggle, saying that while power can be achieved through shortcuts, it is not genuine.
