Uttlesford Council is proposing new fees at its 11 car parks across Stansted Mountfitchet, Dunmow and Saffron Walden. New parking charges previously came into effect at the council’s pay-and-display car parks in October 2024. The changes followed a public consultation in January and February, which received 500 responses as well as a petition from Saffron Walden BID. The council says the parking costs have remained unchanged since 2015, despite the rising cost of operating and maintaining car parks each year.
