Warnings have been issued for the areas of Calcot and Theale due to rising river levels on parts of the River Kennett, meaning flooding is possible. The MET Office has issued alerts for properties near the river including from Thatcham to Reading, Burghfield, Colthrop, Woolhampton, Aldermaston, Theale, Calcot and Southcote. Further flood warnings are in place for the River Thames in Shiplake and Wargrave and from Mapledurham to Sonning where river levels were recorded as high at 9.45am today in both areas. The Environment Agency said flood water levels rose overnight which are expected to remain high for the coming days. According to the government's flood risk monitoring service, they are still monitoring flood levels in these areas.
