A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted sexual assault on a female and assault occasioning actual bodily harm after an incident on Tuesday, December 2 2025. At around 5.55pm, a man sexually assaulted a woman by touching her inappropriately over her clothing in the alleyway of Swan Place between Castle Street and Rose Walk. Thames Valley Police is appealing for specific witnesses to come forward, stating that the sexual assault was witnessed by two women who were walking down Castle Street. “I am also appealing to anyone else who witnessed this incident or has information that may help us to please contact the force. “Anyone with information should call 101 or make an online report via our website, quoting crime reference number 43250614180.”
