LK Bennett was acquired yesterday (28 January) by US firm Gordon Brothers, which also owns Laura Ashley and Poundland, shortly after Alvarez and Marsal’s John Noon and Mark Firmin were appointed joint administrators earlier this week (Tuesday 27 January). Gordon Brothers has bought the LK Bennett brand and its intellectual property (IP) assets. LK Bennett’s stores were not included in the deal. A statement on LK Bennett’s website reads: “The LK Bennett stores were not included in the transaction and continue to trade under the administration. “Online sales via the LK Bennett website continue for the foreseeable future.”LK Bennett has 9 standalone stores and 13 concessions, as well as around 280 employees.
