Andrea Charrington-Hollins, 46, of Cae Offa, Llanymynech, appeared before Mold Crown Court today (January 29) for a plea and trial preparation hearing after the case was sent up from Welshpool Magistrates’ Court in September. Charrington-Hollins denies one count of fraud by false representation, contrary to section 2 of the Fraud Act 2006. The charge alleges that between November 2018 and September 2021, she dishonestly made false representations that legal services were being provided to a client, knowing the representations were untrue, with the intention of making a financial gain. When the charge was put to her in court, Charrington-Hollins entered a not guilty plea. Charrington-Hollins was granted bail, with conditions including that she must not contact two prosecution witnesses directly or indirectly.
