Channel 4 has announced that "gripping" four-part thriller Careless has gone into production, with a first look at key characters also revealed. An original drama by Australian broadcaster and streamer Stan, it's being produced in association with Channel 4 and others (including Australia's Nine Network). "When Scottish backpacker Robbie (McLeod) finds himself in Sydney, he is determined to become a live-in carer for a notorious rock 'n' roll legend, Mike (Roxburgh), who has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Meanwhile, Michael Healy, Nine Entertainment's Executive Director of Entertainment Content Commissioning, described the series as "a riveting and relentlessly compelling thriller". In other recent news from Channel 4, A Woman of Substance has added Harlan Coben's Stay Close star Jo Joyner to its cast.
