Herbert “Doc” Franklin Patterson, 89, of St. Joseph, passed away Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026, in a St Joseph health care center. He married Patricia “Pat” Wood, in Leavenworth, Kansas, and she survives of the home. “Doc” was preceded in death by his parents; stepchildren: Debbie Howdeshell, Michael Patterson, and Shelly Patterson, Fred and Walt Robidoux; brothers, Albert “June” Junior Patterson, and George Patterson; two sisters, Evelyn Lloyd and Eloise Hartman; and his first wife, Sherrie Patterson. Survivors include: wife, Patricia “Pat” Patterson, of the home; and two sisters, Alice Denver and Lois Glotzbach. As published in the St. Joseph News-Press.
