Newcastle–Berlin flights take off againA popular European city break route has returned to a North East airport for the summer season. Newcastle International Airport has confirmed the return of direct flights to Berlin following strong passenger demand last year. Eurowings will operate the route twice weekly, on Thursdays and Sundays, from May to October, offering more convenient afternoon departure times for short city breaks. The service provides improved access to one of Europe’s most vibrant capitals, known for its cultural festivals, historic landmarks and lively nightlife. Summer highlights include major outdoor music events, street festivals and open-air performances across the city.
