The AMA will be the basis of three more models from Proton, including the AMA02, AMA05 and AMA06, and Proton has hinted at some details in December at its Tech Showcase event. Together with the AMA02, the AMA05 and AMA06 will replace the PIES (Persona, Iriz, Exora and old Saga) range. Announced in June 2024, the GMA will underpin five new Proton eMas models, including PHEVs and BEVs, Proton CEO Li Chunrong stated at the time.
