Jonnie Hall, NFU Scotland deputy chief executive and director of policy, said the budget allocation ‘clearly provides the funding needed for a re-run of the Future Farming Investment Scheme (FFIS)’. “NFU Scotland has consistently called for a re-run of an improved FFIS,” he said. “That’s a message we are taking forward strongly.”He added that capital support should not focus solely on primary production.
