The South-East Zonal Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Ali Odefa has declared that the 2027 general election will not be an ordinary exercise but a battle between hunger and survival. Odefa said this in Enugu on Wednesday during the inauguration of the Caretaker Committees for Imo and Enugu states. In Enugu for instance, the governor, commissioners, local government chairmen, Senators and House of Representatives have all gone to the then opposition party, the APC. “So, it calls for you to work very hard to get our party back to power.”On the forthcoming election, Odefa said it was not “an ordinary election but a contest between good and bad, a contest between hunger and survival. “If credible candidates become the flag bearers of the party, the party will be victorious,” he advised.
