Sharon Rice was caught with bags and jars containing the class B substance when police forced entry to her property in March last year. They did not find anyone inside before commencing their search, but 49-year-old Rice returned home soon after and was detained. Rice pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cannabis through lawyer Aidan Gallagher when she appeared at Greenock Sheriff Court. She told the court it was estimated the drugs recovered had potential earnings of up to £67,000. It’s a decision she’s taken with the utmost regret.”Sheriff James Varney told Rice: “You were found that one day with £67,000 of cannabis, which is a considerable amount.
