Warrington Borough Council has announced plans to introduce a prohibition of driving and a clearway on the A49 London Road from its junction with Dudlow Green Road to Longwood Road. The upcoming temporary order is being introduced to allow carriageway resurfacing, with the affected stretch closed from 7pm until 1am as and when signs are in place on site. Access along the A49 London Road will be managed by the relevant Contractor for the entire duration. Drivers will be required to follow a signed diversion, using Lyon’s Lane, Broom Avenue, and Longwood Road. Warrington Borough Council has given formal notice of its intention to make the order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
