Earlier this morning, National Rail revealed that emergency services were dealing with an incident on the tracks between Crewe, Runcorn and Warrington Bank Quay. A spokesperson said that to allow them to complete their work safely, all lines had been closed. A British Transport Police spokesperson has now confirmed that the force was dealing with a casualty on the tracks. A BTP spokesperson said: “Officers and paramedics attended and sadly a person was pronounced deceased. It comes following the tragic news yesterday afternoon, Wednesday, that a person had died on the tracks at Hartford Station.
