The Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy is a shared commitment between the council, NHS partners, and voluntary and community organisations to improve residents’ health across the area. The strategy’s focus is on prevention, reducing health inequalities and supporting wellbeing at every stage of life. Cllr Catherine del Campo, Cabinet Member for Housing Services, Housing Delivery and Health, said: “This strategy marks a significant step forward and is the result of collective effort shaped by our partners and residents. “It recognises the areas of need in our borough and sets out how we can work together to improve everyone’s health and wellbeing while tackling health inequalities that affect our most vulnerable communities. By taking a life course approach, we can provide tailored support at the right time to bring benefits that residents will feel for decades to come.
