At around 7pm on January 25, a man was assaulted by three offenders dressed in dark clothing on Langley High Street, at the bus stop opposite Langley Memorial Ground, near Selekt Chicken. The alleged offenders are described as boys in their late teens, and one was wearing a North Face jacket. Speaking out after the incident, Cllr Gurcharan Singh Manku, for the Langley St. Mary ward, described his "sadness and shock at this unfortunate violent attack". Following the incident, community members had expressed fear about walking in the street and dropping their children to school in the area.
