Squally winds likely along Gujarat coast; IMD issues fishermen warning

Ahmedabad: Fishermen along the Gujarat coast have been warned of squally winds and very rough sea conditions due to a steep pressure gradient.
According to the forecast, squally winds with speeds of 45–55 kmph, gusting up to 65 kmph, are likely to prevail along and off the North Gujarat coast, including areas such as Jakhau, Mandvi, Mundra, Kandla, Okha, Jamnagar, Porbandar, and nearby ports.
The sea is expected to remain very rough, and fishermen have been urged to avoid these areas.
A similar warning has been issued for the South Gujarat coast, covering coastal regions such as Veraval, Diu, Pipavav, Bhavnagar, Dahej, Magdalla, and Daman.
The advisory also states that squally winds with speeds of 45–55 kmph, gusting up to 65 kmph, are likely to prevail over many parts of the Comorin area today and tomorrow.
