Indie animation, short for independent animation, are created by studios made up of just one person or a small team. It has created a new expectation of “success” in the indie animation community and has shifted the views of millions of consumers. Indie studios are becoming their own type of influencer, following trends to become famous. The current state of indie animation is still too early to predict. So far, there have only been a few major successes in the indie animation community, and audiences only seem to focus on two indie studios.
