Laying siege in the Our Lady’s Terenure half, goals through Rachel Kerins, Croia Corcoran and Married Queally blitzed the shellshocked Leinster side into submission long before the final whistle. While Terenure midfielders Sarah Blessington and Faye Frain were extremely athletic, Coláiste Muire smother the middle third to dominate proceedings. As ever, Emily Sue Daly, the roving Croia Corcoran and Rachel Kerins also excelled as the Ennis college controlled the narrative from the outset. Sophie McNamara had an attempt blocked, Katie Conlon saw a bullet denied by goalkeeper O’Flaherty while Rachel Kerins would also be thwarted. With Seamount College Kinvara (Galway) and Coláiste Muire Johnstown (Kilkenny) set to lock horns in the other semi-final over the Bank Holiday weekend, a February 28th All-Ireland Final date is provisionally pencilled in for Coláiste Muire’s much-awaited decider showdown.
