Martin O’Neill has hit back firmly at Derek McInnes after the Hearts boss took a thinly veiled swipe at Celtic coach Mark Fotheringham following last weekend’s fractious 2-2 draw at Tynecastle. The flashpoint came after one of Celtic’s goals, when McInnes took exception to celebrations in the away technical area. After the game McInnes said he didn’t have an issue with Martin or assistant Shaun Maloney, the Hearts manager chose to reference what he described as an “inexperienced” Celtic coach. “He was obviously being rather cynical, Derek,” O’Neill told Celtic TV. As for McInnes, there is a sense that the Hearts manager is already feeling the squeeze.
