Shrewsbury Town have confirmed the appointment of Gavin Cowan as the club’s new head coach, following the successful negotiation of a compensation package with Brackley Town. Dave Edwards, a certified club legend and fan favourite, joins the management team as joint assistant head coach. Edwards will work alongside Jamie Haynes, Cowan’s long-term right-hand man and a former product of the Shrewsbury Town youth system, who completes the new-look dugout. After beginning his coaching career at AFC Telford United – where he guided the Bucks to the FA Trophy semi-finals – he moved to Brackley Town. Speaking on his appointment, Cowan expressed his pride in returning to the club where he once played.
