Days after it was announced that the NCIS spinoff series had been renewed for a third season, it was announced on Wednesday (January 28) that co-showrunner Gina Lucita Monreal will be leaving at the end of the current season. Fellow co-showrunner David J. “It’s been the biggest honor of my career to write NCIS: Origins alongside my incredible co-showrunner and friend David North,” Gina shared in a statement.
