– A person was injured and hundreds are without power Thursday morning after a vehicle struck a utility pole overnight in Maplewood. The crash occurred a little before 2 a.m. Thursday morning on Big Bend Boulevard at Folk Avenue. The vehicle was traveling southbound on Big Bend Boulevard at the time of the crash when it lost control and struck the utility pole. Southbound on Big Bend Boulevard is currently shut down as crews work to make repairs and clear the scene. One lane in the northbound direction of Big Bend will remain open ahead of the morning commute.
