A Caledonia teenager faces adult felony charges, some stemming from a viral social media video where he is seen holding another teenager at gunpoint. A Lowndes County grand jury indicted Jayden Rager, 16, for aggravated assault and kidnapping related to the actions depicted in the video, according to a Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office press release issued Wednesday. Rager was also indicted for sexual battery of a girl younger than 14, 16th Circuit Assistant District Attorney Ben Lang told The Dispatch. In the video, the suspect, who is white, threatens Cox, who is Black, at gunpoint. Rager is being held in Lowndes County Adult Detention Center awaiting his first court appearance.
