Celebrity chef and entrepreneur Khairul Amin Kamarulzaman, better known as Khairul Aming, has stressed that no special treatment will be given to politicians who wish to dine at his newly launched restaurant, Rembayung. The restaurateur stressed that Rembayung does not accommodate walk-ins without reservations right now, even for politicians. It was launched on 6 January 2026 and was immediately overwhelmed with bookings from excited Malaysians and fans of Khairul. Khairul was hospitalised recently for dehydration and exhaustion after meeting and taking photos with 7,000 customers at Rembayung.
