North East women among the lucky few selected for scheme in TV and film sector

Writer Samantha Neale and line producer Sarah Howie, both from the region, are among 10 women chosen from across the North of England to take part in the Women in Film and TV (UK) Four Nations Mentoring Scheme.
The programme is supported by Screen Alliance North with backing from the BFI, which is awarding National Lottery funding.
"Last year’s cohort gained so much from the mentoring programme which developed their networks and routes for collaboration as well as honing their industry skills.
Women in Film & TV (UK) represents more than 12,000 members globally and offers events and professional development programmes including the Four Nations Mentoring Scheme, the Fearless Leadership Programme, and the Kay Mellor Screenwriter’s Lab.
Screen Alliance North is a skills partnership supported by the BFI and delivered by Liverpool Film Office, North East Screen, Screen Manchester, and Screen Yorkshire.
