Woman charged in ongoing human trafficking investigation

Waterloo regional police have laid charges in connection with an ongoing human trafficking investigation.
While details are limited, police said that they began their investigation in December – into the alleged human trafficking of a woman.
A 36-year-old woman, said to have previously resided in Waterloo Region, has now been arrested.
She faces several charges including:Trafficking in PersonsReceive Material BenefitProcuringAdvertise Sexual ServicesAssaultThat accused was held for a bail hearing.
