Sarah Nicholls, who started at Frome Nursing Home in May 2019 after moving from Southampton with six years' care experience, said she was made to feel at home from day one. Her story highlights the home's approach to long-term development and career progression in the social care sector. After two years as a house lead, Ms Nicholls was encouraged to become a care practitioner, completing a year-long programme through the Evolve Care Academy. In 2024, she transitioned into the administrator role at Frome Nursing Home. "I have been lucky that I’ve been supported through my career progression had the opportunity to try different pathways.”
