Other confirmed guests include wildlife cameraman and presenter Hamza Yassim, social historian Ruth Goodman, and Indian history expert William Dalrymple. Sir Lenny Henry will take to the stage on May 17 with a new live show described as part stand-up, part storytelling and part conversation with himself. Hamza Yassim will appear on May 19 to talk about My Life Behind the Lens, while social historian Ruth Goodman will explore Living History with Ruth Goodman on May 20. Spoken word artist Harry Baker will bring his warm and witty take on new parenthood to the festival on May 21. The literature festival, one of the longest-running in the country, launched in 1989 through the efforts of Chester Arts 89 and has been programmed by Storyhouse for the past 15 years.
