The scheme will transform the market for customers and traders alike. Councillor Nathan Pardoe, cabinet member for inclusive economy, regeneration and digital transformation, said: “Thank you to the customers, market traders and staff who have supported Ellesmere Port Market throughout the first phase of refurbishment works. “It’s an exciting time for Ellesmere Port Market, with the second phase of works beginning in early February including new public spaces, seating, cycle parking and landscaping. The refurbishment works are currently expected to complete in late summer when the entire market area will reopen. The Ellesmere Port Town Centre regeneration project is funded by the government’s, Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government.
