'Well overdue', 'PCSO fears' and 'court backlog' all issues raised by police reforms

The largest reforms to policing since forces were professionalised two centuries ago were announced on Monday by the Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood.

We spoke to our area MPs for their views, with Justin Madders, Labour MP for Ellesmere Port and Bromborough, saying they are ‘long overdue’.
She said: “The Home Secretary has set out plans and specifically highlighted the importance of neighbourhood policing with police out in the community.
“I raised this issue directly with the Prime Minister last week because everyone in Chester South and Eddisbury deserves to have visible neighbourhood policing that is accessible and effective in their community.
