Letters: City needs to examine EFRS, EMS role before building more stations
['Edmonton Sun']
Edmonton Sun
He quotes that EFRS responded to 91,000 emergency incidents involving more than 166,000 apparatus runs …?
But this does not separate out the thousands of calls that fire responds to, such as accidents, drug-related problems and related problems to people on the street.
Yes, the city is growing and we need to take a serious look at who pays and who is responsible.
But it is important that the people understand exactly the calls that EFRS is responding to and who really has this responsibility.
So Chief, please give the people a breakdown of these calls so we can understand exactly what your problem is.
