A power cut hit the Keighley area on Wednesday night with many streets suddenly plunged into darkness. Lingering issues from the power cut have led Merlin Top Primary Academy to open at 10am on Thursday. Branding it a "site issue", the school said the doors have been impacted by the power cut. In the notice on Bradford Council's emergency school closure list, the spokesperson for Merlin Top Primary Academy said: "We are having to delay opening until 10am due to door issues caused by the power cut. "We will issue further updates when we have them."
