The local authority took the property to auction in December 2024 in a bid to raise some extra cash. Several months later, an application was submitted seeking permission for three homes on the Oxford Road site. With permission secured, two properties will be situated in the Grade-II* Listed Georgian Mansion, and another in the barn. The associated coach house will become a garage or ancillary accommodation for the barn house. In the main house, original windows will be refurbished, with a bay window to be replaced to the south.
