Bhopal: A Bhopal-based doctor has been sentenced to three years of Rigorous Imprisonment (RI) for securing admission to an MBBS course by submitting a forged domicile certificate in 2010. Despite clearing the Pre-Medical Test (PMT) conducted by the Professional Examination Board, Bhopal, 16 years ago, the doctor used a fake domicile certificate to illegally obtain a medical seat under the Madhya Pradesh state quota and gained undue benefits. Along with the jail term, the court also imposed a fine of Rs 500, as reported by Free Press Journal. The forged document was used during the admission process after he cleared the Pre-Medical Test (PMT) conducted by the Professional Examination Board, Bhopal, in 2010.
