BAY CITY, MI — Less than a month after he was charged with a federal crime, the former executive director of Bay City’s historic State Theatre has admitted in court to a felonious misuse of funds.
At the time of his crimes, Bacigalupo was the chief operating officer of the State Theatre and the director of the Historical Museum of Bay County.
The State Theatre Board of Directors convened meetings during these times, but Bacigalupo concealed the loans’ existence.
The State Theatre lost the ownership, use and benefit of all its personal and real property.
The Downtown Development Authority removed him as its director, and the State Theatre’s board of directors ousted him as its chief operating officer.
