Youth Basketball Guyana (YBG) has secured the renewal of its sponsorship partnership with Edison Chouest Offshore and G-Boats Inc. for a seventh consecutive year, reinforcing continued support for youth basketball development across the country. The renewal was marked by a ceremony at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, attended by members of the YBG Academy, parents and invited guests. Among those present was Ross Chouest, a representative of Edison Chouest Offshore and G-Boats Inc., who interacted with the young players and observed a short exhibition game held in his honour. Chouest, who hails from Galliano, Louisiana, has a strong personal connection to basketball, having been a standout high school player at South Lafourche High School before competing at the collegiate level, including time at Louisiana State University and Georgia Tech. His background in the sport, organisers noted, created a meaningful link with the young athletes in attendance.
